Visit to the Henry Moore Foundation, Perry Green, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire

The Henry Moore Foundation at Perry Green, has evolved considerably from the time when it was the Sculptor’s rural home and studio. It has become the setting for the largest and most comprehensive collection of Moore’s work, offering further opportunities to discover details of his life and the breadth of his art.

The Arts Society Bury St Edmunds is pleased to announce a visit to the Foundation, which will include a tour of Hoglands House, Henry Moore’s family home, and the Studios and Sculpture Gardens.
As the location is only about an hour’s journey from Bury St Edmunds the visit is offered on a self-drive basis.

Location:
The Henry Moore Foundation
Dane Tree House, Perry Green, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire SG10 6EE

Programme:
10.45 am Gather at the main visitor car park.

11.00 am An introduction to the site, and allocation of timed tickets for the tour of Hoglands House (in groups of 8).

2.00 pm Guided tour of the Studios and Sculpture Gardens.

In free time between and after tours, members may enjoy the studios, gardens and aisled barn at leisure until closure at 5pm.

Light refreshments are offered at the Rosey Lea on-site café; the location also has dedicated picnic areas.

Cost: £27.00 per person for members and £33.00 for guests.

Members of The Arts Society Bury St Edmunds have received booking details for this visit by email. Members may be accompanied by their partner or a friend, as a guest.

Non-members wishing to join the visit independently should email: info@theartssocietybse.org.uk for booking details and further information.

It is essential that all bookings are accompanied by a Booking Request. Payment by BACS without a formal request will not secure a place. Confirmation of your booking will be given either by email or by telephone.

Priority for this visit will be given to members of The Arts Society Bury St Edmunds. The visit is subject to minimum numbers. In the event of these not being met by members of The Arts Society Bury St Edmunds, it may be opened to members of neighbouring Arts Societies and then to non-members.

Non-members travelling independently will be expected to apply for membership of The Arts Society Bury St Edmunds.
